Accepting 2022 Gregor G. Peterson Prize Nominations

Today, April 1, marks exactly three months until the July 1 deadline for submitting nominations for the 2022 Gregor G. Peterson Prize in Venture Philanthropy.  This $250,000 grant, paid out over three years, strives to give early-stage nonprofits room to build and scale quicker!

To nominate a nonprofit for this Prize is simple!

  • Confirm that the nonprofit is eligible. The nonprofit must:

  1. Be less than 5 years old or a new program of an existing nonprofit

  2. Demonstrate innovation in how it tackles a need or problem

  3. Show its entrepreneurial nature through leadership, programming, and vision

  • Fill out the “Nomination Form” available here!

You can read more about previous winners of the Prize on our blog here.  These winning charities include Recidiviz tackling criminal justice reform, Center for American Liberty defending free speech rights, and Generation Justice protecting the rights of children in foster care.

Together with the Peterson family, Hoplin Jackson will conduct its due diligence starting after the July 1 deadline. The Prize will be announced in December 2022 at the American Legislative Exchange Council’s States and Nations Policy Summit.
