July 1: Deadline to Nominate a Charity for the Gregor G. Peterson Prize
July 1 is the deadline to nominate a new nonprofit for the Gregor G. Peterson Prize in Venture Philanthropy. The Prize—a $250,000 grant disbursed over three years—will be awarded in December at ALEC’s annual States & Nation Policy Summit in San Diego. To qualify, nonprofits must be less than five years old or have recently launched a new program. In the same way Gregor Peterson used venture capital to help grow innovative, new businesses, the Peterson family uses philanthropy to nurture the growth of entrepreneurial nonprofits which are addressing pressing societal issues.
Hoplin Jackson Charitable Advisors, on behalf of the Peterson family, is coordinating the nomination, review, and selection process. Visit https://hoplinjackson.com/peterson-prize to nominate a charity before July 1 and help a new nonprofit working hard to change and save lives.
