Hoplin Jackson to Assist The Snider Foundation with Leadership Transition
An Email (3.20.2020) from The Snider Foundation’s Board president, Jay Snider:
Dear Partner,
You may have recently seen the announcement from The Philanthropy Roundtable with the terrific news that they have selected The Snider Foundation’s executive director, Elise Westhoff, to be its next President and CEO, effective June 1, 2020.
We at Snider Foundation are both sad to lose Elise, whose leadership has been invaluable, and whose friendship we treasure- she is truly family to us all- and also very supportive of her new endeavor. It indicates the recognition and respect she has earned throughout the philanthropic community across the country and is a well-deserved opportunity for Elise to grow and lead a very important national organization. As supporters and members of the Roundtable, we look forward to our continued work with Elise in her new role.
Thanks to Elise’s leadership and our strong and committed board, we have an incredible team in place, a wonderful set of grantees doing critical work and partners who are committed to improving America at all levels.
Starting May 15, The Snider Foundation will be engaging Hoplin Jackson Charitable Advisors and its executive vice president, John Jackson, to help with the transition as the interim executive director. John advised the Adolph Coors Foundation on their charitable giving for nearly 30 years. In addition to his knowledge and experience, John is a true pleasure to work with, and we know you’ll enjoy working with him during the transition period.
Our Board has opened a search with Talent Market to fill the important role of Executive Director of The Snider Foundation. If you’d like more information about the opportunity, please visit here for more information.
As we all adjust to life under the threat of a pandemic and the day-to-day uncertainty this creates, please know that we are continuing with business as usual here at the Foundation. Our team is always here to help and remain available to you as needed.
With best wishes for your health and continued success,
Jay Snider
